A vintage banker's lamp with attractive aged brass base and vibrant green glass shade.  Banker's lamps are excellent as desk lamps as they cast light down onto the surface, whilst gently illuminating the room through the opaque shade. This lamp has a good weight and adjustable shade which tilts forwards to move the focus of the light. The underside of the base is covered in black velveteen fabric to protect your table top. 
 
The lamp is in working order and the wiring has been checked. It has an original inline switch on the gold flex. The lamp takes a standard bayonet cap bulb (B22); one longlife bulb is supplied. The lamps has a UK plug. As with all vintage electrical items, the buyer should consider seeking professional advice and testing. The brass has very minor scratches and signs of use;  the shade has no cracks, chips or damage.
